Westlake Library shares technology tips April 26 – cleveland.com

WESTLAKE, Ohio — Westlake Porter Public Library is offering a free virtual session, “The Future of Tech Today,” for techies of all ages from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, April 26.

Holly Klingler from the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System will be on Zoom sharing current technology trends, followed by a question-and-answer period.

From the list of topics that will be covered in the session, it looks like an exciting peek into the future …or maybe it is already happening. Either way, it looks like an enthralling and absorbing session.

Attendees will learn about and see what the library describes as “the coolest new technology trends and gadgets that are available today.”

Included will be the following topics:

· Explore devices that can put a “doctor in your pocket”

· Learn about a coding robot with a personality

· Find out about a video game for kids that comes to life in seconds, just from their drawings

· View a first-person action camera that is no bigger than a stick of gum

The library is inviting everyone to come to the session to explore, ask questions and be amazed.

Attendees must register online for the virtual session. To do so, visit https://westlakelibrary.org/event/4837346. An email must be supplied to receive log-on instructions.
