Welcome to Gigi Hadid’s Grand Fantasy Fashion Game – Vogue
The world is at your fingertips, or at least, Gigi Hadid’s world is. Vogue’s March cover star has received her very own video game to go along with her cover. Hadid navigates a digital fantasy land and its challenges, whether that is grocery shopping to make her famous spicy vodka pasta, or riding a horse in a magical field. (We also see her floating in the sky and collecting coins, and transformed into a gargantuan Amazonian beauty traipsing around the city.) The payoff? Well, Ms. Hadid unlocks new levels, and in the process, gains some stellar new outfits.
Vogue’s Visual Director Samantha Adler thought of the initial idea to put Hadid in a video game back in November. She enlisted director Alana O’Herlihy, a friend of Hadid’s, as well as stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson to bring the project to life. For over two months, Adler and O’Herlihy worked with a team of 3D artists spanning the globe, including Carol Civre who oversaw the full 3D-ification of Gigi’s world, Timo Rusall who worked to render the garments, and Wan who was responsible for creating the accessories.
