Tower Health recognized for incorporation of technology in acute and ambulatory settings – Reading Eagle

Tower Health earned the 2020 CHIME Digital Health Most Wire recognition for its use of technology in acute and ambulatory care settings, the organization announced Monday.
CHIME Digital Health Most Wire program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively health care organizations apply technologies to improve the health and care in their communities.
This year’s program included four surveys: domestic, ambulatory, long-term care and international. The surveys assessed the use of technology in health care organizations at all stages of development. The organizations received an overall score and scores for individual levels in infrastructure, security, business/disaster recovery, administrative/supply chain, analytics/data management, interoperability/population health, patient engagement, and clinical quality/safety.
Participants received certification based on their overall performance, with level 10 being the highest. Tower Health reached level seven.
In its announcement, Tower Health noted that one example of its leadership in technology is how the system quickly expanded virtual care options during the coronavirus pandemic. Patients are able to use virtual visits as an alternative for in-person appointments and gives them secure and convenient access to care from anywhere and any time through a mobile device, tablet or computer.
