Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology and Change Department plays a vital part in improving and developing services across the whole Council for the benefit of our customers and staff. Our Team is responsible for a wide range of technologies including endpoint management, VDI, email, firewall/ADC, networking and telephony.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Unified Communications, Endpoint and Security Team within Technology and Change. We’re looking for an experienced individual who can help shape the technology strategy specifically around the endpoint and how we transition our existing product set to meet the demands of a changing workplace and realise the business benefits of new technology.

As Technology Lead, you are responsible for specialist technology areas (domains) within T&Cs’ ICT infrastructure. You will lead a supportive, specialist team, ensuring the continued availability and performance of key products and components. You will also research and develop in line with emerging technologies as well as plan and implement new and changed products and components. As subject matter expert, you will contribute and maintain Technical Architecture standards.

What you will bring

To be successful you must have extensive experience in the management and implementation of technologies such as SCCM, Intune, Citrix and Microsoft Office 365 and a demonstrable track record of the implementation of modern management for endpoint devices together with a technological vision that addresses the changing and dynamic working practices of a large enterprise.

As the team is responsible for such a wide range of technologies, experience in areas such as PaloAlto firewall, Citrix ADC, Trend security suite, Aruba networking, Microsoft Azure and Mitel/Teams telephony would be beneficial.
