SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – For the second straight season, Utah tight end Brant Kuithe has landed on the cover of the Athlon College Football preview magazine.
The Utah star Brant Kuithe was on the cover of the 2020 edition of one of the Athlon College Football preview magazines along with Nate Landman of Colorado and Zach Wilson of BYU. For the upcoming copy of one of the 23 regional magazines, Kuithe will be on the cover with Landman and BYU RB Tyler Allgeier.
Kuithe, Allgeier and Landman will be on the cover of the Mountain West magazine.
The Katy, Texas native had the option to go to the NFL but will be returning to Utah for the 2021 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, college eligibility was frozen so Kuithe will be a junior again in 2021. He was named second team All-Pac-12 for the second consecutive season.
In 2020, Kuithe led the Utes with 25 receptions and had 236 yards (2nd on team) but did not find the end zone in five games. He also ran the ball 6 times for 50 yards.
The Katy, Texas native had a breakout season in 2019 with 34 catches for a team-high 602 yards and 6 touchdowns with 6 rush attempts for 102 yards and 3 TD’s.
In 28 games for the Utes, Kuithe has 79 receptions for 1,065 yards and 7 scores through the air. Kuithe racked up 150 yards on 13 carries for 3 TD’s. Utah’s tight end room will be stacked next season with Kuithe, Cole Fotheringham and Dalton Kincaid.
