HCHS volleyball conditioning starts this week
HCHS volleyball is back with conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday, and Tuesday, July 27 as well as Thursday, July 29 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tryouts will begin on Aug. 2 and go until Aug. 4. Times have not been decided at this time but will be later in the evening to help accommodate parents.
All athletes must have a valid VHSL physical in order to participate in conditioning and tryouts.
Halifax County High School golf practice starts July 26
HCHS golf practice is set to begin July 26 at the Greens Folly golf course with practice set to start at 3:30 p.m.
In order for athletes to participate they must have an updated VHSL physical on file.
Halifax County High School cheer tryouts set in August
Tryouts for the Halifax County High School cheer team will be held Aug. 2-4 in the high school lobby from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The last day of tryouts will be on Aug. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
Anyone who will be in grades 8-12 are encouraged to come tryout if interested, eight graders are only eligible to be on the junior varsity squad.
Mandatory practices will start on Aug. 9 and all girls must be present for all practices from that day forward if they want to participate. All participants must have a valid VHSL physical if they want to participate, and forms can be picked up at the high school.
Halifax County Middle School football tryouts are set
For any sixth, seventh and eighth grade students interested in playing middle school football they should meet in the middle school bus parking lot on July 29 at 3:30 p.m., to try out for the team.
Athletes should bring athletic clothes and bottles of water to tryout.
In order for athletes to participate they must have an up-to-date VHSL physical turned in and on file with the athletic department.
HCMS volleyball conditioning and tryouts are coming up
Halifax County Middle School will be having volleyball conditioning on Aug. 2, 3 and 4 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tryouts for the volleyball team will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 9 and 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Athletes are expected to wear athletic clothing and bring a water bottle.
All athletes must have an up-to-date VHSL physical in order to participate in any volleyball activities.
