WORTHINGTON — The Marshall football team defeated Worthington 42-6 on Friday.

Tyler Maeyaert completed seven of his 14 pass attempts for 106 yards and two touchdowns while added seven carries for 65 yards and another score. Jake Eben completed two of his six pass attempts for 25 yards and added 17 yards on the ground on five carries and a touchdown. Chidi Nwakama added 53 yards rushing on 12 carries and a touchdown while also hauling in two receptions for 42 yards and a score. Keaton Maertens added two carries for 45 yards and a touchdown on the ground and three catches for 57 yards.

Defensively, Bryant Paulsen led Marshall with 12 total tackles, including eight for a loss and four sacks and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Marshall (2-2) will face Tri-City United at home next Friday at 7 p.m.

Jonah Christensen led RTR with 162 passing yards on 15 of 27 passing and a touchdown while adding 148 yards on the ground. Darrick Baartman added 86 rushing yards and a score while Cody Wichmann had 77 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Aiden Wichmann led in receiving with 62 yards on five catches while Baartman added a 14-yard touchdown reception.

RTR (3-1) will face Minneota on the road next Friday at 7 p.m.

Natalee Rolbiecki and Ella Johnson led Minneota with seven kills each while Ireland Stassen and Abby Frie each added five. McKenzie Tolk led in digs with 16 while Rolbiecki added eight and McKenna Yost led in set assists with 18 while Stassen added 10.

Kate Dahl led DB with four kills while Reese Johnson and Ayiana Hastad each had three. Hastad led in digs with nine while Chelsie Husby led in set assists with 13.
