MAYNARD – Lakeview defeated MACCRAY 61-0 on Friday.

Clayton Kosel led the Lakers rushing attack with 131 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

Brock Bossuyt added 52 rushing yards in the win, while Greg Schafer ran for 38 yards.

Lakeview quarterback Owen Louwagie was 6 for 7 for 66 yards and three touchdowns. His top target was Nathan Fenske, who caught four passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns.

Kiegan Marczak, Shelby Justeen and Justin Timm each recorded interceptions in the win, with Timm returning his for a touchdown.

Lakeview (3-0) will host Minneota on Sept. 24.

DAWSON – Dawson-Boyd defeated Yellow Medicine East 49-8 on Friday.

Holt Larson finished with 189 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries.

Brayden Hahn led an efficient passing attack, finishing 7 for 10 for 128 yards and one touchdown.

Andrew Flaten led the Sting offense with 33 passing yards and 31 rushing yards.

DB (3-0) will travel to Lac qui Parle Valley on Sept. 24 while YME (0-3) will travel to Canby on Sept. 24.

Thursday volleyball

PRINSBURG — The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton volleyball team fell to Central Minnesota Christian 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-23) on Thursday.

Ally Nelson and Ella Hesse led RTR with seven kills each. Lexi Schreurs led in digs with 15 while Tatum Hess added nine and Hesse led in set assists with 11.

RTR (6-4) will face Dawson-Boyd at home on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
