Local girl to be featured in Biden inauguration – WKOW

MADISON (WKOW) — Local 8-year-old Morgan Marsh-McGlone will be featured in President-elect Biden’s inauguration event Wednesday after donating over $50,000 to a local non-profit through a virtual lemonade stand.
She will be introduced by chef José Andrés and then handing it off to actor Tom Hanks.
“When I heard about that, I was like what’s an inauguration?,” said Marsh-McGlone.
Despite not knowing what an inauguration was or who Tom Hanks was, she says she is excited to participate. Morgan’s Lemonaid Stand supports Little John’s, a pay-what-you-can restaurant that works to increase access to chef-quality food and reduce food waste.
“Let’s do this Morgan!!!!!!!!!! Let’s get Little John’s funded so we can feed people and save lives!!!,” said Founder & Executive Director at Little John’s Dave Heide in a Facebook post.
Until she can safely start a real lemonade stand, Marsh-McGlone says she’s excited to continue helping the community using the new Morgan’s Lemonaid Stand website where people can make donations.
“Helping at least makes me feel really good when I do it,” she said. “Because I know I’m helping people’s lives get better.”
