Dickinson women of business recognized with annual award – The Dickinson Press
Two recipients of the award are Dickinson residents and entrepreneurs. Steffes’ Vice President of People and Culture Kim Heidt and Marathon’s Regional Laboratory Manager Holly Dalen.
The award’s scope of recognition is spread across North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota and accounts for the leadership roles assumed by nominees and awardees in both their individual careers and community engagement activities. Despite the recipients having different careers and backgrounds, Prairie Business Magazine seeks to highlight their commonality of professional dedication and passion for community development.

Dalen has had an enriched experience through her career in laboratory management, developing her skills through different industries and companies including the Dakota Gasification Co. and North Dakota State Meat Inspection program where she provided inspection services to both state inspected official and custom meat processing facilities in North Dakota.
She now faces the challenge of leading the forefront of technological advancement in the development of renewable diesel opportunities, a challenge she is very much excited for.
An active volunteer within the community, Dalen still finds time to dedicate to her family and church.
Marathon is an energy company based in Findlay, Ohio. They operate the nation’s largest refining system with three million barrels per day of crude oil capacity.
