DEREK KARIKARI: This is AP Newsminute. Hundreds of people gathered at a candle-lit rally in Yangon on Saturday in a peaceful protest against the military. Candles were laid by protesters demanding the release of deposed Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other arrested leaders.

Activists gathered in downtown Louisville Saturday to honor Breonna Taylor’s legacy and continue their demand for justice. Breonna’s family joined the event on Jefferson Square Park, which became a hub during months of demonstrations last summer.

NASA astronauts took a spacewalk on Saturday to rearrange Space Station plumbing. The work was delayed from last week after a power upgrade took longer than expected.

Riot police fired tear gas to disperse scores of people who protested against harsh economic conditions in central Beirut on Saturday. The clashes near parliament began when protesters tried to break through a metal gate leading to the building. Derek Karikari, Associated Press, with AP Newsminute.
